PJD GUITARS CAREY LIMITED COCOA BURST WITH PJD/HISCOX HARD CASE
This PJD was hand made in York and features a stunning spec. The finish and build quality on this beautiful guitar are second to none.
The Carey Limited features a chambered, bound Mahogany body, paired with a AAA quilted maple gloss top. The neck is made from roasted maple, with a custom neck profile based on a standard "C" shape. The heal block is contoured for comfort and a pickup upgrade utilises a coil split on the humbuckers.
We have to talk about the very special pickups that are fitted to this guitar they are hand wound Cream T Scan 59 humbuckers and they sound absolutely gorgeous.
What does scan 59 mean? Cream T are able to take a scan of a pickup and replicate them down to the tiniest detail resulting in glorious old school tonality.
These pickups have been scanned from a real 1959 Les Paul Standard, now unfortunately I don’t have a ‘59 LP here to a/b them directly but what I can tell you is there is something very special going on with this guitar! If you were to buy these pickups separately they would cost around £300.
A fabulous mix of vintage and modern design, it really doesn’t get much better than this.
