ERNIE BALL MUSIC MAN SILHOUETTE 1987
Wow! This is truly special. Vintage Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette finished in Black complete with original hard case.
Built in the USA in very early 1987 this is a piece of Music Man and electric guitar history.
In 1986 Music Man released their first electric guitar under the Ernie Ball ownership
these were simply called the Ernie Ball Music Man electric guitar (I had the 6th one ever made and was the first person to gig one in the UK!)
In 1987 they named the guitar Silhouette as you can see, this is number 16 and is the exact same spec as my original one. These are unbelievably good guitars the necks are to die for.
As you can imagine this has been played a lot during its 37 years (a sign of a great guitar) and has picked up the usual dings and scrapes (see pics) nothing major, it’s not a case queen but this all simply adds to the glorious vintage mojo this guitar has!
The frets are in great shape and overall it plays, sounds and looks superb. This really is a stunning example of a wonderful guitar.
These early Silhouettes don’t come up for sale very often and players that are in the know tend to snap them up very quickly. So act fast and don’t miss out. I have no doubt this guitar will continue to appreciate over the next few years.
